L'Oreal Glam Shine Stain Splash
Romy is one of the 8 shades which are introduced by
L'Oreal’s new lip stains goes by the name Glam Shine Stain Splash. It is a pink
shade with slight coral hues and subtle shimmer. Being compared to the YSL
glossy stains, I believe this product can pull it off by looking at its various
qualities which are found within, even better being sold for less!
After receiving the product, I could not wait to
give it a go as there has been a huge hype about them recently over in the
States. So many beauty bloggers have mentioned it being similar to the YSL lip
product as mentioned above which made me even more eager and excited. As soon
as I tried the product, I knew I had to review it so that everyone who are breaking
their banks for the YSL gloss stain could give this product a go and see for
themselves.
One of the things which I really liked about this
product was that it glided on well, the formula itself
is quite thin when applying almost watery yet still has thickness the gloss
should have. It is easy to build up as only applying one layer will give more
of an opaque look. However, the quality which this gloss stain lacks is that it
tends to disappears after a while maybe 2-3 hours.
The packaging of the product is
also very similar to the YSL one, with slight different shape much more of a ‘rocket’
whereas the YSL is of a rectangular prism. The teardrop applicators are also
very much alike. However I would say that the packaging of the L’Oreal gloss stain does look much more cheaper than the YSL one but since
YSL is owned by L’Oreal, it makes sense that why they are extremely
similar.
Difference between the L’Oreal and YSL gloss stain?
Even though I do not own the YSL glossy stain, I have tried it previously in
store and tend to find the L'Oreal
stain gloss a little less pigmented and thinner in formula which requires an
extra layer to achieve the same look as the YSL Glossy Stains. Leaving that
aside I would say the L'Oreal Glam Shine Stain Splash are an excellent
alternatives to the YSL Glossy Stains at a cheaper price. I mean who wouldn’t
be happy to pay less for such a magnificent product?!
